Sanitary Surveys
The State of Alaska
requires that a sanitary survey inspection be conducted routinely on all public
water systems. A sanitary survey is an "onsite review of the water source,
facilities, equipment, operation and maintenance of a public water system for
the purpose of evaluating the adequacy of such source, facilities, equipment,
operation and maintenance for producing and distributing safe drinking water." (40
CFR 141.2)
Jon Dufendach of Delta Industrial Services is approved by
the Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation as a Sanitary Survey
Inspector. For survey requests, he can be reached by phone at (907) 895-5053 or
by email.
